Share Your World – 2014 Week 12

What is your most favorite smell/scent?

Well it all depends on what we’re talking about.  🙂  Smell is such an important sense.  I love the aroma of fresh-baked bread in a bakery, the smell of a clean house, the new car smell, the smell of certain perfumes, the smell of fresh brewed coffee, and of course the list goes on and on.  For my house, I buy a particular scent from Pier One and that is their Citrus Cilantro product line.  It’s a garden-fresh blend combined with lemon, lime, and mandarin orange scents, with herbal and floral notes.

How do you write: computer, longhand or other?

Writing Tools

I write almost everything on a computer now.  In part, I’m sure this is a generation gap – I was using computers at a young age, so typing feels very natural to me. I prefer to write straight onto the screen in most cases, as – for me – it’s faster than drafting by hand.

Daily Prompt: That’s Amore

What’s one of your favorite books from childhood?

Everyone had a favorite book as a kid – you know, that tattered old thing you carried from room to room and made you parents read out loud to you over and over, the one that you quoted until you were, um, a little too old to be doing so. We know our lives were shaped in part by the literature we loved as children. I was brought up on all the Dr. Seuss books.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I was grateful for finishing up a blanket I had crocheted for months.  It was a for a little girl in Arizona so I’ll package it and send it to her.  I’m looking forward to a productive week at work and some R&R this weekend. 😉

I loved to read Dr. Seuss and Winnie the Pooh to my kids. The generation gap shows!

The Citrus Cilantro scent sounds lovely! I didn’t come to fully appreciate Dr. Seuss until I started reading them to my kids. I could probably recite One Fish Two Fish without even looking at the pages! Thank you mentioning my post in your link. Have a great day!
